Lena reports on the fate of her friend Cara, who suffers from borderline syndrome.

In conversations with family members, psychologists and friends of her confidante, the young woman tries to understand Cara's illness and the associated decision to take her own life. Told through memories, letters, and a farewell speech, the novel depicts the young borderliner's struggle with her illness, which she could only win by learning to let go and forgive.

The complexity of the original offers exciting possibilities for an audiobook adaptation, as some chapters are also presented in a more classic radio play format. The main role is played by Simone Dioubaté and for the voices of the protagonists professional speakers as well as friends and acquaintances of the author came together.

This creates a very direct authenticity and close emotionality in the realization of the story.

The producer and director Julia Jacob linked the author, the narrator and the sound designer together and thus brought the audio book implementation literally to the language.
